We are delighted to announce that we have received Highly Commended in the Muddy Stilettos Best Schools Awards 2024 for ‘Excellence in STEM’. Thank you to our talented and passionate Science Department for the work they do to inspire our ambitious students to reach great heights in STEM.

Innovation in STEM will be crucial in many of these global challenges facing us and we want to equip students with the critical thinking, creativity and problem solving skills for the future. As an all-girls school, we recognize our role in equipping our students with the confidence and skills they need to progress into STEM careers so that women are fully represented across all careers.

We wanted to create a new co-curricular activity where students could come and be creative and use the skills they had developed in the classroom. We are now proud to offer ‘The Maker Space’ with plenty of resources and support available to allow students to create solutions to real world problems. The Maker Space is equipping them with skills they want to develop, such a 3D design printing, app design, robotics and coding.
